About IIPE Kerala Chapter

The Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE) was established in 1971 with its headquarters at Madras (now Chennai), registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. It was formed to serve practising engineers in India, in association with the Institution of Plant Engineers (IPlantE), UK (now the Society of Operations Engineers, UK), and the Japan Institution of Plant Engineers (JIPE).

IIPE was recognised as a non-profit organisation by the Government of India through an order of the Ministry of Finance in 1978.

The Kerala Chapter extends this national mission to plant engineers, industries and academic institutions across Kerala.

Our Objectives

Disseminate knowledge and information in Plant Engineering relevant to industries in Kerala.
Conduct continuing education, training programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops.
Promote efficiency, reliability, safety and productivity of plant and machinery.
Strengthen the professional standing of plant engineers.
Provide a forum for interaction among professionals, students and industry leaders.

Chapter Administration

The Kerala Chapter is administered by an Executive Committee comprising the Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Committee Members, elected/nominated periodically in accordance with IIPE's national bye-laws.
